My Sleep Coaching Philosophy
I believe that good sleep is not just possible, it’s essential for the wellbeing of your baby and your whole family. My approach is rooted in gentle, evidence-based methods that respect your baby’s emotional needs while giving you the structure and support to create lasting change.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all sleep solutions. Every baby is different and so is every family. That’s why I take the time to truly understand your child’s temperament, your parenting style, and your unique goals.
My role is to walk beside you, guiding you step by step. I give you and your baby the tools to build healthy, independent sleep habits without ever leaving you to figure it out alone.
This process is not about rigid rules or letting your baby cry it out. It’s about building trust, connection, and consistency so that everyone can rest peacefully in a way that feels right for you.
I’m a Certified Gentle Sleep Coach, this is the most in-depth and widely recognised sleep coach training in the world.
The program involves 90+ hours of evidence-based instruction from a team of experts including medical doctors, a psychologist, lactation counsellors, postpartum doulas, and a family therapist. My training covered:
Child development and secure attachment theory
Infant sleep science and gentle parental fading strategies (also called “The Sleep Lady Shuffle”)
Tailored approaches for children 0-6 years old, including the unique 0-5-month stage
Supporting breastfeeding families and being aware of medical considerations like reflux, allergies, or postpartum depression.
I continue to receive mentorship and ongoing education to keep my skills current.
The Gentle Sleep Coach method is gently responsive, attachment-focused, and fully adaptable to your child’s temperament, your parenting style, and your family’s needs. It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach, it’s tailored, kind, and effective.
